In honor of the annual thoroughbred horse race; the QE II, Audemars Piguet designed a timepiece befitting the grandeur of such a race. It has a glare-proofed sapphire crystal, a 950 platinum bezel that is set with 40 brilliant-cut diamonds The rhodium toned dial has a “Grande Tapisserie” pattern with diamond-set hour markers and luminescent white gold hands. It runs on the self-winding caliber 3120 which has date functionality as well as a power reserve of 60 hours. It comes with a titanium bracelet that has polished 950 platinum links and a fold-over clasp. It has a water resistance of 50 meters (164 feet).
